Brownie Donut with Chocolate Glaze and Sprinkles

Brownie Donuts with Chocolate Frosting

Brownie Donuts with Chocolate Frosting are moist and delicious while also being light. They can be made gluten free, are easy to make and perfect for the chocolate lover!

Ingredients
 

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil, or other neutral oil
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup gluten free flour, or regular all purpose flour
  • 2 servings vegan chocolate protein powder, should be about 1/2 cup
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Chocolate Frosting

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 tsp coconut oil, melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
  • Start by mixing together the milk and apple cider vinegar, set aside
  • Combine the granulated sugar, olive oil and milk mixture together in a large mixing bowl
  • Once combined, fold in the cocoa powder and other dry ingredients
  • Make sure to not overmix the batter then transfer it to a piping bag. You can use a ziploc bag and cut the corner as well
  • Pipe the batter into the donut pan until all the donut molds are filled
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or until donuts have risen and a toothpick comes out clean
  • Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 20-30 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack
  • While the donuts are cooling, let's make the chocolate frosting!
  • Add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to a small mixing bowl
  • Heat for 30 seconds and stir. The chocolate will need some more time to melt, do an additional 10 seconds until it reaches a silky and smooth consistency
  • Once the chocolate frosting is complete, dip the donuts into the glaze or drizzle it on top
  • Top with sprinkles, flaky sea salt or anything else your heart desires
  • Enjoy!
