Gluten Free French Toast with Cinnamon Raisin Bread is the ultimate brunch recipe. It is easy to make using simple and classic ingredients. Each slice has perfectly crisp edges with a soft center.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Gluten Free Cinnamon Raisin Bread
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk, unsweetened
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  • To a shallow and wide dish (large enough to fit a slice of bread), add the milk, egg, maple syrup and ground cinnamon
  • Whisk until combined
  • Heat a pan over medium heat
  • Spray with nonstick or add butter to melt and cover the pan
  • Place a slice of bread in the egg mixture, gently pressing to soak both sides (Note: don't let it soak too long as it can break apart)
  • Transfer the slice in the heated pan (I can do 2 slices at a time but it depends on the pan size you are using)
  • Flip once crisp to your liking, about 1-2 minutes on each side
  • Repeat steps 5-7 until all slices have been made (If needed, whisk more cinnamon into the egg mixture before soaking each slice of bread)
  • Serve and top with butter and a maple syrup drizzle
  • Enjoy!
