Thick Protein Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Chilling Time: 45 minutes
Total Time: 55 minutes
Yield: 2 servings
This Thick and Creamy Protein Chocolate Mousse is a great no-bake dessert. The mousse is made mostly of greek yogurt and protein powder. However, the chocolate flavor is enhanced with cocoa powder. It's an easy-to-make, high-protein recipe to satisfy your chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1-2 tbsp Maple Syrup, do 2 tbsp if you want it a little sweeter
  • 1-2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 serving Chocolate Protein Powder, should be about 1/2 cup but varies between protein powder brands
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • Strawberries, optional, for topping
  • Chocolate Chips, optional, for topping

Instructions

  • This recipe can be made in a mixing bowl or food processor. I typically make it using a mixing bowl with an electric hand mixer. It ensures a smooth and creamy mousse texture .
  • First, add all of the ingredients into the mixing bowl (or food processor), excluding any toppings
  • Mix (or pulse the food processor) until the ingredients are fully combined
  • Transfer to a bowl and chill in the fridge for 50-60 minutes or freeze for about 30 minutes
  • Add into a serving bowl and top with fresh strawberries, chocolate chips or anything else your heart desires. My favorite topping is chocolate chips!
  • Enjoy!
