Cinnamon Sugar Donuts (No Yeast)

These Cinnamon Sugar Donuts are easy to make and incredibly delicious. Baked in the oven, these donuts come out soft and perfectly contrast the cinnamon sugar coating.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar, or date sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 2 tbsp butter or coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, or date sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Equipment

  • 1 Donut Pan

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine together the egg, almond milk, vanilla extract, butter and sugar
  • Mix until combined and then gently fold in the dry ingredients
  • Grease the donut pan with nonstick spray
  • Add the batter to a piping bag or large ziplock bag
  • Cut the corner and pipe the batter into a greased donut pan
  • Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until the donuts have risen and are fully baked
  • Let cool for 5 minutes then remove from the donut pan and transfer to a cooling rack
  • Combine the cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl
  • Brush the donuts with melted butter or coconut oil
  • Toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated
  • Enjoy!
