Chocolate Almond Bark with Cherries

This Chocolate Almond Bark with Cherries is a delicious sweet treat. It's easy to make, made with simple ingredients and the perfect sweet and salty combination.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup dark cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • flaky sea salt for topping, optional

Instructions
 

  • If needed, pit and half your sweet dark cherries
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate and coconut oil at 30 second increments until melted, mix in between each session
  • Line a small baking tray with parchment paper
  • Pour the chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread out into a thin, even layer
  • Add the cherry halves and almond slivered on top so that they are evenly distributed over the chocolate
  • Add flakey sea salt on top (optional)
  • Put in the freezer for about 30 minutes
  • Remove from the freezer
  • Break the chocolate bark into pieces and enjoy!
