These Caramel Blondies filled with White Chocolate and Pretzels are incredibly delicious. They have a fudgy texture like a brownie but tastes like the batter of a cookie...perfection!
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup whole milk or buttermilk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, or gluten free all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup white chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
- 1/2 cup mini pretzels, crushed, plus extra full pretzels for topping
- 1/4 cup soft caramel dip
- 1/4 cup red, green or holiday sprinkles, plus extra for topping
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
Add the eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk. Then add in the dark sugar, butter, whole milk and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl
Mix until fully combined
Add flour and mix until just combined
Fold in the white chocolate chips, pretzels and sprinkles
Transfer to an 8x8 baking pan that is greased and lined with parchment paper
Add dollops of caramel then swirl into the batter
Top with extra white chocolate chips then press 12-16 pretzels into the top of the batter. They should be evenly spaced out (one for each bar)
Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean)
Remove from the oven and top with extra holiday sprinkles
Let cool for a minimum of 30 minutes
