We’ve been to Portland, Maine two times now and we already can’t wait to go back!

While there we spend our days walking between shops and many, many food places (as well as our hotel room when we need to recover from a food coma). But we always make our way to more food places, why? Because Portland has some amazingly unique locations that are just too good to miss out on!

So here’s a list of some of our favorite food places in Portland to date. And please, don’t take such a beautiful place for granted. The trip to get there is SO worth it.

The Holy Donut

Knowing us, we HAD to kick off this list with some truly unique donutsthat we have ever had! Most recently we tried their Maine Blueberry, Fresh Lemon, Honey Lavender, Sweet Potato Ginger, Vanilla and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Donuts. and let us tell you, they are worth every single bite. The Maine Blueberry was by far our favorite but let’s be honest it’s hard to resist any of them!

Taco Escobarr

Tacos Tacos Tacos and more tacos! This place is ALWAYS busy and it’s rare that there isn’t a wait. Does that tell you how good this place is? While there, don’t forget the guacamole and queso fundito to kick off your meal. But make sure to leave room for the tacos and their hot churros topped with caramel sauce. You won’t regret it

Beal’s Ice Cream

WHOOPIE PIE ICE CREAM….THAT IS ALL! (They have many more delicious flavors but this one truly took our taste on a trip that we won’t forget.

The Corner Room

OK…to start, this place was by far one of Jes’s favorites from our most recent trip. We went for brunch and from the frittata to the Fettuccine Bolognese to the Bruschetta, everything was absolutely super and perfection. Need we say more? Just don’t miss out on such an amazing meal while in Portland, now that’s something that you would forget.

The Chocolate Bar

Calling all chocolate lover’s!!!! Jes was absolutely craving chocolate one night and what better way to satisfy that craving by going to a place where the entire menu contained chocolate? This place did not disappoint and satisfied every craving. We enjoyed the sampler of three Chocolate Tortes and enjoyed every bite!

The Grill Room… and Bar

Brennan took me here for my birthday dinner and in our typical ways we were there for almost 3 hours!! From the baked brie in the appetizer to the filet mignon for the main and the apple fritters for dessert, we were stuffed by the end! But we couldn’t resist those apple fritters, perfectly fried and drizzled with caramel.
