These Dark Chocolate Caramel Pretzels are my go-to dessert when I can’t decide if I want to end my day on something sweet or add a little salt in there.

The texture is creamy from the caramel with the perfect amount of crunch from the pretzel. It satisfies all the cravings you could have, with just one bite!

My favorite part about this recipe is that it is easy to make and requires no cooking or baking.

Can I make my own caramel for this recipe?

Yes! Of course you can. I opted to use store bought to save time.

It is important to note that you want to use a thicker caramel for this recipe. You won’t it to hold up in the caramel cups. I used this Litehouse Caramel Dip making this recipe.

How to Make Dark Chocolate Caramel Pretzels

  1. Melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil in a bowl and mix together
  2. Add about 1/2 to 1 tbsp of chocolate to the bottom of a silicon mold or muffin liners in a muffin tin
  3. Make sure it’s in an even layer and covers the entire bottom
  4. Add about 1/2 tbsp of the caramel dip in the center
  5. Press a pretzel on top of the caramel to spread it out
  6. Top with an additional 1 tbsp of melted chocolate. Make sure the pretzel and caramel are completely covered
  7. (Optional, but recommended) Add flaky sea salt on top
  8. Chill in the freezer for 35-45 minutes or until set
  9. Remove from the molds/muffin liners
  10. Enjoy!

Nope! You can use any chocolate you prefer or whatever you have on hand. These bites will taste just as delicious with semi-sweet chocolate, milk or white chocolate.

  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 6 tbsp caramel dip
  • 6 mini twist pretzels
  • flaky sea salt, optional, for topping
