Ingredients measured out to make the popsicles.

Tips and Tricks

Frozen Fruit. Do not use fresh fruit for this recipe.

However, you can freeze the fresh fruit ahead of time, which is what I do for the bananas.

By using frozen fruit, it will create that perfect popsicle texture.

Add enough liquid BUT not too much. For an easy pour, you want to make sure that the mixture is thin enough.

However, you don’t want it to be too thin as the texture would become watery and then icy when frozen.

Freeze overnight. You want to make sure the popsicles are fully set.

If you remove them from the freezer too soon, you won’t be able to take them out of the mold.

How to Make Pineapple Popsicles

  1. To a blender, add the almond milk or liquid of choice
  2. Add the frozen banana, pineapple chunks and protein powder
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping the sides as needed
  4. Pour into the popsicle molds
  5. Freeze overnight
  6. Enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this recipe gluten-free friendly?

Make sure you are using a gluten-free protein and then this recipe is naturally gluten-free!

Will any protein powder work in this recipe?

Most protein powders will work, however, I have not tested with all types. I have used whey based proteins and they work great. I think vegan proteins will work well too and create a creamy texture.

What do I do if I don’t want to use protein powder?

That is fine! Omit the protein powder completely and the popsicles will still come out great. Just decrease the amount of liquid, start by adding 3/4 cup then add in small increments until easy to pour. If you’d like, add some greek yogurt (or preferred yogurt of choice) to thicken.

How long will the popsicles last in the freezer?

Pineapple Popsicles will remain the most fresh for about 1 month in the freezer.

Are these Pineapple Popsicles good for you?

This recipe is extremely healthy! Filled with antioxidants, fiber as well as a variety of vitamins and minerals from the pineapple alone.
