Try this Boursin Cheese Pasta Recipe! I first saw a version of it on TikTok and immediately knew that I had to try it.

While I added my own twists to this simple recipe, you can always add or subtract ingredients to make it your own.

One of my favorite parts is that there are only a handful of ingredients required to make this recipe.

Lastly, it is the perfect recipe to make when craving a comforting meal that is satisfying AND nutritious!

What is Boursin Cheese?

Boursin cheese is a brand of soft, spreadable, flavored cheese that’s made in Normandy, France. 

It’s made from triple cream cheese and mixed with herbs and spices.

Boursin cheese can be eaten on its own or used as an ingredient in other dishes!

Also, it bakes perfectly to create a creamy cheese sauce that coats the pasta in this recipe. The flavor also pairs well with the blistered tomatoes and herbs.

How to Make this Boursin Pasta Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
  2. First, add the Boursin cheese in the middle
  3. Next, drizzle some olive oil on top of the cheese. Then add the dried basil and dried oregano on top
  4. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes
  5. While baking, heat water in a large pot for the pasta
  6. Once the water is boiling, add the pasta and cook according to package instructions
  7. Remove 1/4 cup of water and set aside to add to sauce
  8. Drain the pasta
  9. Once the cheese is done baking and tomatoes are blistered, remove from the oven
  10. Use a spoon or spatula to blend the cheese and tomatoes to make the sauce
  11. Add in the pasta sauce and reserved pasta water
  12. Mix until combined and all the pasta is coated in the sauce
  13. Lastly, top with fresh basil and parmesan cheese
  14. Enjoy!

It is if you decide to use Gluten Free Pasta! That is the only ingredient that isn’t naturally gluten free.

How do I know the Boursin cheese has baked enough?

The edges of the cheese should be golden. The cheese should also be soft enough to mix with the blistered tomatoes.

What does it mean for a tomato to be “blistered”?

A tomato is “blistered” when it has cooked/baked causing the tomato to shrivel up and release its tomato juice. You should be able to easily smash the tomatoes.

Should I cook the pasta “al dente”?

Yes! “Al dente” is perfect so that the pasta has a nice bite to it.

How do I store the leftovers of this Boursin Pasta Recipe?

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Make sure the pasta is completely cooled before putting it in the fridge.

  • 5.3 oz Garlic & Herb Boursin Cheese
  • 8 oz Curly Pasta
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1-2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh Basil, optional, for topping
  • Freshly Grated Parmesan, optional, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
  • (Note: I used a 9×6 dish but a square 8×8 or 9×9 would work as well)
  • First, add the Boursin cheese in the middle
  • Next, drizzle some olive oil on top of the cheese. Then add the dried basil and dried oregano on top as well
