Cute Bat Pops made out of marshmallows and chocolate.

How cute are these little marshmallow pops?!

The sweetness of the marshmallow and chocolate perfectly contrasts the salty crackers and pretzels. Also, the contrasting textures of each ingredient is very satisfying in every bite.

Making the marshmallow pops into Bats is a unique Halloween treat for a party or a fun, kid-friendly activity.

Ingredient Notes

  • Marshmallows – creates the body of the bat
  • Chocolate Candy Melts – you will coat all the pieces and body to make the bat in chocolate
  • Pretzels – break into little pieces to create the bat ears
  • Round Crackers – will be broken in half then coated in chocolate to make the wings
  • Candy Eyes – these are the exact ones I ordered on Amazon. I used the medium-sized yes, however, I used the small-sized eyes on a few marshmallow pops too.
  • Cake Pop Sticks – what holds it all together!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can these treats be made gluten-free friendly?

They can be! If you use gluten-free crackers, pretzels and marshmallows, then yes, this recipe is gluten-free friendly.

What other products can I use to make the wings?

You could use pretty much any circular cracker. However, you could also use a chocolate sandwich cookie by separating the sandwich and using the side without the creme filling.

How do all the ingredients attach to the marshmallow?

By using the melted chocolate! I dip each pretzel piece in a little bit of chocolate before sticking them into the marshmallow. The cake pop stick also gets dipped in chocolate before sticking it into the marshmallow.

Can I use regular chocolate to coat the marshmallows?

You can, however, I don’t recommend it as the chocolate doesn’t set as smoothly and quickly as chocolate wafers.

How do I know the chocolate is fully set?

Melted chocolate wafers are fully set when they are hard and shiny, not dull or streaky.

What is the best way to store the marshmallow pops?

Store in the fridge in an airtight container. I use a container long enough to fit the entire marshmallow pops on the cake pop stick.
