How do I reduce the apple cider?
Add your apple cider into a small saucepan. Turn the heat up to medium and continuously stir as the cider boils.
You want it to reduce to a 1/2 cup, this took about 10 minutes for my stovetop.
This is an important step because it strengthens the apple flavor. However, if you want to skip this step then you can measure out a 1/2 cup of apple cider!

Apple juice is filtered, pasteurized, and typically sweetened. It has a clear, stable, and sweet flavor, while apple cider is unfiltered and unpasteurized with a cloudy, tangy, and robust taste.
You could! Feel free to experiment by adding in your favorite mix-ins or even small chunks of apples. However, any additions may impact the baking time and final result.
You know the bread is done baking when you stick a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean. The outer edges and top of the loaf should be golden and crisp.

I haven’t made this yest, however it appears there to be at least one typo in this recipe?!? Is it apple cider vinegar or apple cider? Also, is there 2 x 2tsp of cinnamon?
Apologies for that! This recipe has been updated and it is just apple cider 🙂
I haven’t made it yet, but could I use something else than applesauce? I was thinking peanutbutter, but I don’t know if that will work…
It looks very delicious and I am definitely planning to make this!
I would replace with mashed banana or even pumpkin puree!
This apple cider donut bread is amazing! I love the rich flavor!
This is a delicious apple bread. The apple cider really comes through.
Brilliant! Mt family loved it.. Great site
I haven’t made this yet but do you need the GF flour blend to have xanthan gum and how much to add if it doesn’t have it? Also, I assume it’s 1 to 1 flour? Thank you!
Yes, use All Purpose GF Flour with Xanthan gum. My favorite brands are King Arthur Flour or Cup4Cup – they work great! You an also use regular all purpose flour if you don’t need it to be gluten free. Enjoy 🙂
OMG yes please!! I need this in my life.
