How to Get Perfectly Circular Cookies
Have you ever seen cookies that come out perfectly circular and wonder how they got to be so perfect?!
I know that I have!
And let me share with you have you can make perfectly circular cookies too.
Grab a mixing bowl, mason jar lid or circle cookie cutter that is larger than your cookies. Place the object over the cookies and move in a fast, circular motion.
This smoothes out the edges of the cookie to make the perfect cookie shape!
Continue until you have the desired result and repeat for each cookie.
How to Make Frosted Birthday Cake Cookies
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and both sugars using a hand mixer
- Add in the remaining wet ingredients and mix
- Mix in the flour a 1/2 cup at a time. With the last 1/2 cup also add in the cornstarch and baking soda
- Fold in the sprinkles
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes
- Use a 1 or 1.5 tbsp cookie scooper to portion out the dough
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper spacing the cookie dough 1-2 inches apart
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are slightly golden with the center still a bit gooey
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet until the center is fully set
- Transfer to a cooling rack and make the vanilla buttercream frosting
- To make the frosting, add the softened butter to a bowl
- Add in 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar at a time, using a hand mixer to combine
- With the last 1/2 cup of powder sugar, add in the vanilla extract
- Mix until combined and creamy
- Pipe the frosting on the cooled cookies
- Add the extra sprinkles on top
- Enjoy!
