Frequently Asked Questions
A high moisture content makes the perfect chewy and soft cookie. That means lots of butter and using brown sugar to make them extra moist – which to me, makes the perfect cookie!
Using cold butter will create a crunchier cookie. I personally like my cookies soft and under baked in the middle.
This will most likely just create a chewier cookie! And there’s nothing wrong with that – it will be just as delicious.
Both ingredients are incredibly important for this recipe. The baking powder helps create the ultimate chewy cookie. On the other hand, the baking soda contributes to keeping the cookie light and not too dense.
This is not necessary for this recipe but you can if you’d like! It will not affect the flavor or texture of the cookie drastically.
The only change it may impact is the amount the chocolate sea salt cookies will spread while baking. If desired, chill for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
