However, I also LOVED Lucky Charms Cereal as a kid, but who didn’t?

Combining the two products in this recipe is a match made in heaven. The gooey marshmallow perfectly coats the iconic cereal, creating the perfect bite.

The best part is that you just need a few ingredients to make this easy, no-bake recipe!

What Are Rice Krispie Treats?

Rice Krispie Treats are a childhood classic.

I remember growing up and always hoping to see that shiny blue package to be in my lunch.

These treats are made by melting butter and marshmallows that would typically coat the Rice Krispie cereal. The mixture is then transferred to a pan to set.

However, the difference in this recipe is that I used Lucky Charms cereal instead.

Theoretically, you could swap out almost any cereal to make these delicious and nostalgic treats!

How to Make Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to use mini marshmallows?

You don’t HAVE to, however, they are much easier for measuring and melting than the larger-sized marshmallows.

Can I use any cereal in this recipe?

Theoretically, you could swap out almost any cereal to make these delicious and nostalgic treats! However, I have only made this recipe with Lucky Charms Cereal and regular Rice Krispie cereal.

(Note: Different cereals may call for different measurements of the ingredients)

Do I have to let the Krispie Treats set before slicing?

Yes, this is what helps them keep a nice square shape when slicing. The 30 minutes allows the marshmallow mixture time to cool and hold everything together perfectly.

What is the best way to store leftover Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats?

Store in an airtight container or Ziplock bag at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Can I freeze these treats to last longer?

I haven’t tried this but I would imagine it could work. However, keep in mind that freezing may change the texture of the treats once defrosted.
