I love a good smoothie.

And when the weather is hot, I pretty much have a smoothie every day!

They are refreshing, easy to make and you can make pretty much any flavor combination that you are int he mood for.

Prior to this recipe, I had never made a peach-flavored smoothie…and boy was I missing out!

The flavors in this smoothie are so delicious and satisfying, you will want to have it on repeat throughout the summer.

Frozen vs. Fresh Fruit in Smoothies

Which is best for smoothies? There really is only one right answer.

Frozen fruit!

It helps to create a thick and creamy smoothie without fault.

Not only that, frozen fruit is more affordable and will last so much longer than fresh fruit.

If you choose to make smoothies with fresh fruit, you would end up with more of a juice than a smoothie…and I don’t think you want that!

What Protein Powder should I use?

While any protein powder will work, I think the flavor of the protein powder is the most important choice.

I recommend using an unflavored or vanilla protein powder. It perfectly complements the peach and strawberry flavors.

However, if you have a peach or strawberry protein powder, that would work as well!

  2. Add the frozen banana and other frozen fruits
  3. Next, add the protein powder and chia seeds
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy (Pause the blender and scrape the sides as needed)

You can, but I wouldn’t recommend making more than the night prior to consuming. You want to make sure it has the ultimate freshness.
