Do you ever go to restaurants and wonder how they get feta cheese to be smooth and creamy?

I know I always did, but now I figured out how to get that same result!

I use greek yogurt and olive oil to create the perfect Whipped Feta. The greek yogurt helps to thin out the crumbly feta and create a smooth texture.

Honey adds the perfect amount of sweetness! You could also try adding this creamy Whipped Honey on top.

The olive oil balances out the acid and simultaneously creates a silky texture in the feta dip.

One of my favorite parts about this recipe is that it is incredibly easy to make and you only need a few, simple ingredients!

What is the best olive oil to use in this recipe?

You can use ANY olive oil to make this recipe. Costco has a great price for the amount of olive oil you get. My family loves a good Costco run!

However, this Pompeian Olive Oil from Amazon has a delicious and smooth flavor. It’s not too overpowering while cutting the acid from the lemon zest perfectly.

When making this recipe, I will always say that the olive oil you have at home or at your local store is the best as it’s convenient to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best feta to use in this recipe?

My favorite feta cheese is President brand feta or the block of cheese from Trader Joe’s!

Can I use feta crumbles in this recipe?

I have not tested the recipe with crumbles but I assume it would work similarly. If you choose to use crumbles, the end result of the dip may be affected.

How long does it take to whip the feta until smooth and creamy?

It should take about 5-7 minutes total. You will want to turn the food processor off occasionally to scrape down the sides and give the feta dip a mix.

Would other mix-ins be able to be added?

You could top the whipped feta with nuts such as pistachios. Instead of regular honey, you could also use hot honey!

Yes! You can make the day before for optimal freshness. Remove from the fridge about 20 minutes prior to serving. Plate, top with honey, red pepper flakes and enjoy!

How do I store the leftover feta dip?

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
