why should you make THIS buttercream frosting?
the biggest reason you should make this frosting is because it's simple, therefore, making it easy to make!
however, if you're a chocolate lover like myself this buttercream frosting is perfect for you. it's rich, decadent and insanely delicious. while it goes great on a cake or cupcake... i am known to eat it by the spoonful.
how to make buttercream frosting
- in a large mixing bowl, add the cocoa powder. whisk to remove any large clumps
- add in the softened butter and whisk until fully combined (you can also use a hand mixer on the lowest speed)
- measure 1 cup of the powdered sugar and add it to the bowl and give it a light mix
- add the remaining powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract. whisk until fully combined
- if the mixture is too thick, continue to add ½ tbsp of milk until it reaches the desired consistency
