main ingredients to make this vegan baked oatmeal recipe
- old fashioned rolled oats
- almond flour
- banana
- tahini
- chocolate chips / chocolate chunks
- baking soda

why does this recipe use tahini?
tahini is made from roasted sesame seeds to make a creamy sauce. when baking, tahini adds a deliciously rich, nutty and indulgent flavor in recipes.
i add it to this baked oatmeal for flavor but also because there are no eggs in this recipe. it adds healthy fats while pairing perfectly with the chocolate and banana flavors.

frequently asked questions
i suggest replacing the tahini with a creamy, natural peanut butter or almond butter. however, sunflower butter will also work well if that’s what you have on hand!
if you don’t want to use maple syrup, i suggest using honey or a date syrup. however, you can also omit the maple syrup altogether and it will be less sweet.
nope! you can use regular milk, cashew, oat or your preferred milk of choice.
it is done baking when the edges are golden and top has hardened. there should be no “jiggle” in the middle of the baked oats as well.
i have made this a day in advance and it still tastes great! reheat in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds until it reaches a warm temperature to your liking.
